It felt like SYRN footed the bill for multiple media outlets this past week. And from what I saw online consumers were really calling the bluff, especially given the line’s connection to the Bezos clan.
I just wrote a piece on the launch strategy of SYRN vs SKIMS, and while both celeb-founded, how different the go-to-market approaches were. I’d be surprised if SYRN was really able to make a dent in the market with their current offering. Consumers feel smarter than that today (or at least they should be).
I feel like if anything was going to set Sydney/SYRN apart it would be fit (sort of like Fenty Beauty finally addressed the shade range issue that no other brands would) and she didn’t even get that right!
Bezos has no taste or style. Why did Anna Wintour ask her to chair MET Ball. What a surprise!
money talks!
Intrigued by peptides too but the science is questionable, I appreciated Eric Topol’s piece here https://open.substack.com/pub/erictopol/p/the-peptide-craze?r=exefk&utm_medium=ios&shareImageVariant=overlay
Really enjoyed today’s read!
